What will happen to my polartec fleece if I use fabric softener when I wash it?
The tag says do not bleach, do not use fabric softener…I understand why I need to avoid bleach, but what will the fabric softener do to the fleece?
Fabric softner will soften the fabric by getting all the fibres to lie down.
In order to be a good insulator the fibres have to stick up in different directions trapping air.
Fabric softner wont ruin the fleece but it will effect its insulating abilities.
